What is a lounge suit?

A lounge suit is basically a smart suit, worn with shirt and tie, that is suitable for work, evening events, christenings, funerals and even weddings. In everyday life, it is usually referred to as a business suit.

What is smart business attire?

Smart business attire consists of a suit, shirt and tie. Depending on the season and circumstances, some level of individuality might be acceptable and you could e.g. replace the shirt with a turtleneck in the winter or wear jacket and trousers that are not cut from the same fabric.

What is a lounge suit dress code?

If an invitation specifies a “lounge suit dress code”, you are expected to wear a smart suit, shirt and tie. The suit can be 2 piece or 3 piece, single-breasted or double-breasted, but assume a certain degree of formality.

What should I wear to an interview?
